Babar Mahmood
Babar qualified as a chartered accountant in 2000 with a well-regarded regional firm, after completing his degree in Accountancy. Through his working life, Babar has spent several years at the big four and top ten. He has been a key member of the audit and assurance department and gained valuable experience with a diverse and extensive client mix. Babar’s last role saw him head up the audit department for a large independent firm in the Midlands.
Babar’s career has spanned over 20 years and during this time he has also gained industry experience, working as a group financial accountant for a FTSE350 company and as CFO in a new business venture in the food industry. The extensive experience in both practice and industry has given Babar a unique insight into many industry sectors and the overriding importance of providing an excellent client service. Babar has gained experience from sole traders to large group companies and PLC’s, whilst also gaining experience in pension schemes and not for profit entities.
Outside of work Babar enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is also a keen footballer playing regularly and is involved with local community-based charities.
